There exist philosophy schools, but they cannot teach anyone to become a philosopher. This is because there is a difference between the knowledge that one accepts from others, and that which one gains through own introspection. Thus, it is possible to know a lot about various things without being a philosopher, in the same way that knowledge about music does not make one a composer. The term philosopher originates from ancient Greece, and designates someone who is in search of truth and wisdom. In ancient Greece wisdom was usually considered in the objective sense, meaning the pursuit of absolute truth for its own sake, not for personal advantage. Those that used knowledge for personal gains were called sophists, and those that were incapable of understanding that in a society one must also be concerned for others and participate in public affairs were called idiots.
Because of the prevailing social problems Socrates was primarily concerned with ethics, he was searching for meaningful rules of human behavior. Ethics is not mere social esthetics, it is a guide for survival. It is not widely known that what Socrates was advocating is very close to the later teachings by Christ. There are also other similarities between them: neither of them left anything in writing, both were executed by their own people, and these societies were subsequently destroyed. Socrates believed that our consciousness is associated with an immortal soul. Socrates and Plato also searched for the best form of government. For some time Athens was a form of democracy, but, as Plato reported, Socrates felt that the best form of government would be the rule of a philosopher king, stating: Until philosophers are kings, or the kings and princes of this world have the spirit and power of philosophy, and political greatness and wisdom meet in one, and those commoner natures who pursue either to the exclusion of the other are compelled to stand aside, cities [states] will never have rest from their evils-no, nor the human race. To this day we are facing the same problems, and philosophers were merely able to describe them and make proposals for betterment, but very little has been implemented. Even two thousand years of preaching Christianity has not brought about any changes in human nature. Clearly, therefore, if I would not have something different to disclose, I would be merely wasting my own and your time. I also have no illusions that I will be able to implement my ideas, but it is my impression that humanity will have to begin looking for genuine solutions. As already stated by Buckminster Fuller, the rapid development of technology in our civilization will force us to make the choice between utopia and oblivion. The advantage that I have over the philosophers in the past is a deeper knowledge of science and, hence, understanding of our physical and mental constitution. |
The introduction of the term philosophy is attributed to Pythagoras (582-497 BC), but Thales of Miletus (625-545 BC) is considered to be the first Greek philosopher. Thales studied the knowledge of earlier civilizations, and came to certain conclusions regarding the nature of our universe. Specifically he stated that water is the fundamental substance. Anaximander of Miletus (611-547 BC) reasoned that the fundamental substance, which gives rise to the observed substances, is invisible and pervading the whole universe. He called this substance apeiron. Parmenides of Elea (510-? BC) accepted the notion of an infinite substance, but demonstrated through reasoning that this leads to irresolvable paradoxes. His student Zeno of Elea (490-430 BC) elaborated on these problems, dealing with what we now call a continuum.
The first known report of a resolution of the impasse comes from Melissus of Samos (~440 BC), a naval commander who defeated Athens at sea. He left the following cryptic statement:
If there were many, they would have to be such as I say the one is.
No part of anything that has a beginning and an end can be eternal.
In these two sentences is correctly summarized the essence of the physical constitution of our universe. In the first sentence Melissus says that the substance of the universe consists of a multitude of identical parts. This concept gave rise to the Greek atomism.
In the second sentence is stated the requirement that the universe is boundless, because, if it had a beginning and an end, its parts could not be eternal and, hence, they would vanish in time.
In essence, my theory is merely a mathematical confirmation of what Melissus stated. However, Melissus is rarely given credit for introducing atomism. Most often Democritus of Abdera (460-357 BC) is mistakenly quoted, but Leucippus of Miletus (480-420 BC) definitely preceded Democritus. All Greek atomists, except Melissus, as far as we know, thought that the observed reality could be accounted for only if the atoms consisted of a multitude of different shapes and sizes.
Although the atomistic concept resolved the conundrums associated with the continuum, the Greeks lacked the mathematical knowledge and experimental science to verify their conjectures, and their civilization collapsed before these necessary tools were developed. The Romans that subsequently dominated the Mediterranean region showed no aptitude for philosophy and science. Christianity, that followed, was hostile to science, so that no progress occurred until the Renaissance. Only with the Protestant reformation of the Church did the oppression lessen, enabling a resurgence of intellectual pursuits in western Europe.
The atomistic concept was reintroduced through an extant copy of the poem De rerum natura, by the Roman poet Lucretius (?-55 BC) who based his work on the Greek philosophy expounded by Epicurus (341-271 BC).
Experiments with steam, and compressed and rarefied air pointed to the idea that these substances are composed of material particles in motion, separated by empty space which allows the compression. These ideas, and the rapid progress in experimental chemistry, led Dalton (1766-1844) to conclude that the chemical elements represent the atoms postulated by the Greeks. As we now know, this is wrong, but the term remains. When I reintroduced the original Greek concept, I renamed the actual fundamental material entities gyrons.
Thus, as Melissus required, my gyrons are all alike, and they partly fill the space of the whole universe. It is the ratio between the occupied and unoccupied space, the shape of gyrons, and their velocity, that determine the structure of the observed and unobserved physical reality on a larger scale. By utilizing conservation equations for the number of gyrons, and their velocity, I was able to show that the empirically derived equations for various observed phenomena emerge from these fundamental conservation equations.
Physical reality can therefore be explained in terms of geometry in 3-dimensional space and time, without introducing any additional concepts such as mass, charge, and various forces. This reduces the basic physical measuring units to length and time. All other units can be expressed in terms of these two fundamental units. Mass, for example, is expressed as length cubed divided by time squared, or alternatively as length times speed squared. The size of the gyron, and its mean speed provide us with the fundamental measuring units. Time is determined by the speed of gyrons. From here on it is merely a technicality to work out all the details, although this is by no means a trivial task.
This model of physical reality overcomes the philosophical difficulties encountered in previous attempts to describe the material structure of the universe, but how and why this universe came into existence is an open question that may never be answered. We are finite entities and, as such, do not comprehend the concepts of infinity and eternity. Nevertheless, as I allude in my book, it is interesting to view the observed and unobserved dynamics as software in the given hardware.
Scientific progress has enabled us to unravel the material structure of the universe, and to gain insight into the biological cyberspace, which governs biology. The DNA molecules encode not only the instructions for constructing and maintaining living organisms, but contain also the programs for behavioral repertoires of each species, and variants for each individual. (In the human genome, it is estimated that only about 3%, or possibly just 1%, specify the body structure). This knowledge could have significant impact on our educational and socio-political institutions, however, it could also be misused. Therefore, proper safeguards will have to be implemented. The Russian physiologist Pavlov has endeavored to make some headway in this direction, but unfortunately, so far, his discovery of the conditioned reflex had mostly detrimental consequences.

Only science, exact science about
human nature itself, and the most sincere approach to it by the aid of the omnipotent scientific method will deliver man from the existing darkness, and will purge him from his shame in the sphere of inter-human relations. Pavlov |
Progress in science enables ever greater impact on the environment as well as on our socio-economic interactions. Therefore, if we do not establish proper norms for the utilization of this knowledge, it is certain that we will precipitate disasters. It is not unlikely that our species will develop the means to effect its own demise. In conjunction with the advances in aether physics and other insights, which will open unprecedented possibilities, the danger is increasing. To avoid the situation depicted in the cartoon shown below, it is necessary to find a solution to the problem that so far destroyed every civilization. The fundamental problem we are facing comes from the conflict between the inherited biological modalities encoded in our DNA, and the behavioral norms necessary to maintain a civilization, which are not yet coded in our DNA.
|
Because effective rules for moderating individual desires, without which a civilized society cannot be maintained, have not been devised, all attempts to progress substantially beyond the biological norms have failed so far, resulting in collapses of various civilizations. It is recognized that a form of government is necessary, but the efforts to structure it properly have failed. The form shifted between dictatorships, in which an individual, or a small group dominates the society, and democracies, in which the majority chooses the rules to which everyone must comply. Both of these forms of government are beset with insurmountable problems. The proposal for the ruling by a philosopher king, was never implemented because there is no known way to select this individual. Therefore, to establish a stable government, which would secure the stability of our civilization, it is necessary to introduce a different approach to governing. We must remove the inherited obsolete biological behavioral repertoire from the norms by which we structure our government. Fortunately this is now theoretically possible. |
The solution lies in formulating the legal system on scientific principles. Specifically, since negative entropy is the currency of life, it can be used to gauge all criteria. This principle is completely objective and incorruptible. Thus, any member of the society can participate spontaneously in the governing process as long as it is demonstrated that the proposed legislation leads to conducting our affairs in a manner which leads to a decrease of entropy. In general, it is envisioned that this will lead to a symbiotic relationship between ourselves, as well as the other species and the environment. Further details are outlined in my BOOKS.
To be able to make progress in this direction it is essential to understand the human behavioral cyberspace encoded in the DNA. Without being aware of it, the bulk of the population uses the neo-cortex merely as a means to cater to the dictates of their DNA, which is not objective. It must further be understood that a part of the behavioral cyberspace is also involved in social dynamics. All of this is easier observed in lower species, particularly insects, where the modalities are simpler. These insights give us a significant advantage for structuring an effective government.
To an intelligent free entity it is clear that behavior which leads to problems should be avoided, but those who are enslaved by the DNA cannot escape the compulsions, and invariably precipitate disasters. They may engage in rational polemics, but, when it comes to activity, follow their programmed compulsions. This usually results in detrimental behavior. The issue is further complicated by the fact that the decisions of intelligent and talented people can also be overshadowed by the inherited compulsions; thus, even successful people do not invariably behave rationally. This is why it is so difficult to establish some coherent policy, no matter how desirable. The existence of various political parties is a direct consequence of the behavioral dictates by the DNA. The saying: birds of a feather flock together, is to the point. Individuals with predator-mendels embrace extreme right wing politics, those with herd-mendels are left leaning, while those with parasite-mendels accommodate themselves to any situation that can be exploited. Therefore, in any form of government, the parasitic types are most successful, but they are also invariably the cause of the demise of any system established so far. From this point of view, the term junk DNA, in which the controlling mendels are encoded, is quite appropriate.
Philosophers have been totally frustrated by finding out that the victimized segment of the population refuses to be helped, and that the opportunists are unreceptive to warnings about impending calamities, leading them to cynicism and sarcasm. The difficulty of comprehending this behavior lies in the tendency to assume that other individuals possess the same mentality as oneself. I have been enlightened on this through my attempts to understand homosexuality and similar behavioral aberrations. I found it most perplexing to comprehend how obviously intelligent individuals rationalize their aberrant behavior. Such extreme measures as surgical interventions to change sexual appearance convinced me about the dominance of the behavior encoded in the DNA. I am therefore not surprised that people in leading positions are not receptive to proposals for changing the situation for the better, no matter how valuable this could be. Most individuals to whom I sent communications chose not to reply, and a few that did, indicated no interest in pursuing the issues brought up.
In present governments, elected individuals are given terms of several years during which they are practically unaccountable for their decisions. Until every bureaucrat is constantly responsible for his activity, judged by scientific principles, there is no hope for a sensible and effective government.
Furthermore, every individual in the society must be held responsible for his activity when it encroaches on the rights of other individuals and the shared environment. The tactics of monopolizing material and intellectual resources is invariably used by the predatory and parasitic elements. Water and other essential resources have been corrupted for profiting a few individuals, while the consequences are costing the society incomparably more. We already reached the absurd situation when the price of bottled water is twice that of gasoline. Thus, there is only a net loss in such activity. A similar situation exists with the exploitation of the conditioned reflex. The parasitic segment of the society has latched on to Pavlov's discovery and is using it in all sorts of commercial and political activity with detrimental effects on the society. Scientific progress in general was so far used predominantly for adversary purposes. This was certainly not the intention of the individuals who made the discoveries. In principle, this is nothing new, it has been going on since prehistoric times, but the chiefs, instead of using clubs and rocks, have now available nuclear weapons, biological agents, and rockets, while the magic of witch doctors has been replaced with broadcasting media, and the televangelists, in particular, are scoring big with it.
The predators and parasites are biologically programmed to keep the population under control by exploiting its weaknesses, but when legal restrictions prevent them from carrying out their natural mission, they accommodate themselves to the situation by exploiting alternative resources, but are not accomplishing their intended function. Thus, we are faced with many difficulties when we attempt to bypass biology which was structured over billions of years. This far, the laws introduced in our civilization have primarily restricted the predatory killing activity, resulting in overpopulation and biological degeneration, which, if not corrected, will be fatal for our species. A sea-faring captain once left some goats on a small island with the intent to have a supply of fresh meat in that remote place. After several years, when he returned, he found only skeletons and little vegetation instead of a thriving flock of goats. Without predators the goats multiplied until they consumed the available food, and starved to death. The same prospect awaits humanity unless measures are taken to stabilize the world population.
The terms predators and parasites have socially derogative connotation, but I am using them in the biological sense, where they designate natural components of the system. Besides, the inherited mentality is not acquired by personal choice, and parasites are themselves not exempt from attacks by other parasites. Fleas, supposedly are also molested by their kind of fleas, and many bacteria are devastated by viruses. To put our situation in the proper context, we need to establish a criterion for our behavior. According to natural law, a parasite is anyone who, either directly, or indirectly, produces a net increase in entropy in the given environment. Parasites have an advantage in their energy budgeting, they merely take advantage of the existing situation, but do not participate in the production of resources.
To maintain a civilization, we must solve several additional difficult problems. The inevitable errors that occur in the DNA code, if not fatal, are manifested mostly as diseases and behavioral aberrations, which are inherited by succeeding generations and are, thus, slowly accumulated. In autonomous biological environments the predators and parasites eliminate the afflicted individuals, while in most civilizations this process is retarded through the legal system and medical interventions. Since we are not able to correct the genetic errors, our species is degenerating, and will eventually become non-viable if measures are not taken to alleviate this problem. This was recognized in the past, but the corrective measures were either not effective, or were highly unpleasant.
Similarly, the sexual urge, leading to overpopulation, is not easily controlled. In squalid conditions the DNA under stress attempts to preserve itself by reproducing itself at a higher rate in anticipation that through natural selection the species would improve. This works in the natural state, but in a civilization, it has the opposite effect because the natural selection has been eliminated and an increase of the afflicted population only worsens the situation. The DNA is not attuned to a civilized existence.
For obvious reasons these subjects are politically unpopular, and most of the population does not want to face the unpleasant reality. For self-serving reasons, the medical and religious establishments are welcoming this state of affairs, but this is clearly irrational. Furthermore, the atrocities committed during the Third Reich have caused a backlash on the attempts to solve these problems, but these difficulties will have to be addressed if we want to preserve our civilization. We have no choice, to remain viable, we must come up with a solution. If we want to maintain a civilized existence, and do not allow the DNA to take care of the problems in the natural state, then we must deal with the situation ourselves. It appears that the least unpleasant solution is rational breading, and a proposal is outlined in my book how this could be accomplished.
I am delving into these details because in the past, without understanding the biological cyberspace, there was no objective basis for structuring a workable social policy. Beside the degeneration problems, one of the basic reasons for the instability of various governments is the inheritance of individual wealth. In the rest of biology this is not a problem, and therefore the DNA has no provision for handling this issue. This is a new phenomenon which emerged with the ascendance of our species. The biologically-based emotional attachment to the offspring motivates the parents to bequest the acquired wealth to their descendents, who usually do not utilize this resource in a manner beneficial to the society. Exertion of inordinate economic pressure on the impoverished segment of the population by the means of social stratification, maintained through inheritance of wealth, results in perpetual social turmoil with deleterious results on biological evolution and civilization. The artificially disadvantaged individuals become either social dropouts, or engage in rapacious and criminal activity in the struggle to acquire wealth. Due to this recognized problem, the communist doctrine eliminated personal ownership, but this led to other serious problems, among them stagnation of technological and economic progress. Again, by understanding our biological makeup within the context of basic laws of physics, this problem can be effectively solved.
With the aid of advanced technology, provided that the world population is stabilized at a sustainable level, an adequate living standard can be secured for every individual. However, not to cause stagnation in progress, talented individuals with progressive ideas must be given the resources to implement their natural mission. However, since it is known that any mandate to individuals for dispensing common wealth is subject to abuse, it is essential that the acquisition of wealth be a regulated competitive process. In connection with the concept of the social placenta, which is outlined in my book, this process also serves as a selection mechanism to prevent biological degeneration. Specifically, using acceptable methods, every individual should be permitted to acquire the resources needed to accomplish all projects which lead to advancement of the civilization. The criterion being the principle of minimal entropy. It is in society's interest to foster the efforts of the individuals who manifest the talent and initiative to carry out their projects. Because the available resources will always be limited, it is essential that they are recycled, instead of being monopolized by a minority through repeated inheritance.
Like the other species, we are facing numerous difficulties in our evolution, and some problems have already been recognized, but the measures taken to correct them were not effective because all the institutions established so far for this purpose attracted opportunists who turned them into means for profiting themselves. If this were not so, we would be content with the existing situation, and progress would stop. Thus, the parasites force us to look for alternatives until we find natural laws which cannot be subverted. The host either finds this protection, or is eliminated by nature as unfit for survival. We are put to the survivability test. If we find the correct means to resist parasites we survive, if not, we perish. Of course, as the hosts perish, so do the parasites. We can see this process in history. For example, in Russia and China, the ruling degenerated aristocracy was replaced with Marxism, then the inept apparatchiks lost control, and the current governments are already plagued by mafias and various gangs. This instability will not stop until the governments are founded on natural laws. Thus, the parasitic elements are essential for reminding us that the existing systems are inadequate, needing correction. The parasites will be active as long as the society gives them an opportunity to thrive. When America had a competent government, it determined that pirates are an obstacle to commerce, and dispatched the Leathernecks to take care of the problem, but now it is degenerating into a mad kingdom in which only the jesters still know the difference between sane and insane behavior.
Nature is profound and resourceful in advancing evolution, which is the only purpose of life. Superficially, the nuclear industry is a menace, but it represents a powerful evolutionary tool. The radioactive fallout dissuades us from conducting wasteful warfare, and the dangerous and economically non-viable power generation puts the population to the test for survivability. If we are too complacent and too cowardly to resist the efforts by the parasites, then we are not fit to survive. The accumulated radioactive waste is eventually bound to contaminate the ecosphere. This will greatly accelerate the evolutionary process. Both, the mutation rate, and the selection process will be enhanced. Once the radiation level in the environment surpasses a certain threshold, survival will only be possible in artificial underground shelters, where most mistakes will be fatal. This will provide a powerful selection mechanism. Also, the demand for safe resources will drastically reduce the population density, and due to global contamination, strenuous effort will have to be exerted just to secure the basic necessities. Such future lifestyle will not be pleasant. Adequate information has been provided to the public regarding the nuclear proliferation threats, but the activity on the Internet dedicated to pornography by far surpasses that dealing with issues for survival. Such degenerate condition of our species will not be supported by nature. As a consequence of population pressure and political ambitions, China, India, and other eastern countries are increasingly relying on nuclear technology. It is clear that the radioactivity produced will harm the future generations not only there, but also globally, so that the profits made by the western suppliers will be a curse on humanity as a whole. How deleterious is all this to the society is already evident from the known economics. The current and projected cost for nuclear waste treatment and storage, even without accidents, by far surpasses all the proceeds derived from the use and export of this technology.
| While the radiation effects will be predominantly taking care of the long-term evolution, the parasites are busy finding immediate solutions, which became possible with the advent of biotechnology. Viruses that effectively kill mice and rabbits have already been developed. Both of these species are mammals, therefore, only a slight modification will be required to take care of the human population. Viruses are known to be highly mutagenic, so it is quite likely that an unforeseen mutation will make these agents effective on humans. This has happened in the past without human intervention: influenza jumped from swine, AIDS supposedly spread from monkeys, and mad cow disease is the result of forcing cattle to be cannibalistic. Radioactive waste, which is impossible to get rid of safely, is accumulating, and new viruses are being engineered at a rapid rate. Once released, viruses cannot be recalled. If this does not make you think and act, then, so be it, AMEN. We are under cosmic control, but I doubt that the cosmic purpose for man is to watch adults playing ball and engaging in all sorts of perversions. |
Things are already happening, and they are worse than I envisioned. The vast amount of high level nuclear waste is to be stored inside of the Yucca Mountain, which is a dormant volcano. Any shifts in the crust can cause new eruptions. It is known that the San Andreas fault in California is bound to shift relatively soon. This shift will be transmitted to Nevada, where the fault that runs right through the Yucca Mountain is likely to open, and the pressure below will be released through the weakest spot, which is the crack in the mountain and the tunnel. Thus, the eruption will be channeled right through the waste storage, from where it is going to be propelled to the stratosphere.
Remember also that once the radioactivity is spread, it is impossible to remove it even with the greatest effort and cost, because the radioactive isotopes cannot be chemically separated. Therefore, all life-forms will be burdened with radiation damage for at least a million years. Thus, it is very unlikely that higher organisms have a chance to survive. One could not design a better doomsday machine than our academic establishment in conjunction with the government. Our taxes are well spent!
In conclusion I am disclosing another mechanism employed by parasites to test our viability. After problems are created, and an outcry for a solution is heard, the parasites themselves propose a solution, but of course at a price. This way they benefit twice. In effect they set up two governments, the official one, which is supported through taxing, but is negligent in its duties, and a second unofficial one, which is supported by voluntary contributions to counteract the official government. Clearly, since their livelihood is at stake, neither branch is really interested in solving the problems, and the process is perpetuated until the host succumbs under the double burden. They want us to believe that this struggle is an inevitable part of living, and that it must therefore be accepted. If the host suspects foul play and persists complaining, then it is widely broadcast that the public reacts hysterically, and that paranoid individuals are inciting the commotion. Since few want to be labeled as psychotic, this tactics usually numbs the host sufficiently to tolerate the sting. Calling them leaches does not perturb them, they know what they are, they just do not like that the host knows it. Parasites are perpetually concerned for their existence. Seeing what happens to the hosts, they are willing to risk much, and use any means to sustain themselves. Downplaying all dangers, and hiding facts, is an essential tactics for making the host tolerant. They have no other options: having no creative talents for productive work, while striving for leisure, the parasites must do what comes naturally. Their tactics is not a product of the neo-cortex, leaches and mosquitoes inject anesthetics to avert their detection. What is intriguing though is the fact that in the case of the Yucca Mountain, they must realize that they also cannot escape the catastrophe, yet are proceeding with the project.
Throughout the history, any institution set up to advance the civilization has been infiltrated by opportunists who displace the productive individuals, and corrupt the essence of the institution. Christianity has been totally perverted by the Church. To mask themselves, the opportunists develop elaborate procedures for their activity, but no useful results follow. During the Middle Ages, the so-called Scholars dominated the administration of the Church. To attain this privileged status, one had to become a Doctor of Divinity, which required 15 years of study. Since the real interest of the Scholars was securing their own advantage, while having no creative abilities, they adopted some knowledge from the ancient Greeks to formulate their curricula. Because Aristotle was a prolific writer, many of his books survived, so it was convenient to adopt his logics and physics. The students had to memorize vast texts, and orate about the various topics, but anyone daring to criticize any of the accepted dogmas risked expulsion, and even life. Thus, for centuries there was no progress in knowledge.
Today we have an exact analogy in our academic institutions, where certain topics and procedures were adopted for the perpetuation of the status-quo. Specifically, Einstein's relativity theory, and the uncertain quantum mechanics were accepted as the guiding dogmas. Thus, an incredible amount of mathematics and philosophizing is used to discuss the nature of physical reality, while the question of defining energy is systematically ignored. Clearly, if you do not know what you are dealing with, there is no end to guessing. The public and their political representatives do not understand these issues, and are willingly supporting this nonsense. This is not an issue of sentimentality, it is not a question of protecting the ignorant from exploitation, this process is slowly killing all of us. The nuclear mess, bioengineering hazards, and denatured food are the result of reckless academic activity. Yet, with their public relations campaigns, and political prostitution, they are able to perpetuate this situation, which is bound to lead to major disasters.
Under the burden of social disarray, as a last resort, the victims often turn to religion, without realizing that religious institutions are also controlled by opportunists. The conflict between the neo-cortex and the DNA has been exploited by parasites of any designation from witch doctors to our academic doctors, and centuries of mysticism masked the reality. The findings by L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of Scientology, represent the first glimpse into the operation of the biological cyberspace. It is therefore not surprising that various institutions feel threatened by this religion. Although they did not know this, the aim of Scientology is to make the individual cognizant of the compulsions exerted on him by his DNA. They are using an indicator to monitor physiological responses of the tested subject, and in this way gradually free him from the subconscious burdens. It was probably for operational reasons that this procedure was structured within a religious framework, which in the long run is bound to attract opportunists (it appears that it is already happening), unless the organization is founded on natural law.
This universe obeys certain immutable laws which must be discovered and obeyed. Humanity has repeatedly ignored the warnings, and in its perverse manner has eliminated the agents who tried to be helpful. History also demonstrated what happened to those societies. If the warning will be ignored this time, the consequences might be fatal. Usually, personal advantage was the only motivation for any action, this time it is a question of survival.
As a philosopher, I am in a strange predicament: if I choose not to make any contributions to the advancement of our civilization, then I am merely another animal accepting passively the given situation, whereas if I provide new knowledge which can be used detrimentally, then my wisdom is questionable. While I would rather unravel the properties of the aether and structure of numbers, I am also aware that if our species vanishes, my work is useless, as roaches and even lions will not appreciate my effort. Therefore, because I cannot single-handedly change this predicament, I am making a plea to our species to read my BOOKS, and make the necessary changes before we are doomed.
We already have the means to inflict serious damage not only on ourselves, but also on the environment; hence, I will make some prognostication for the case that we succeed in overcoming our present evolutionary crisis. Assuming that no natural disasters happen in the near future, and that the population is limited to a level at which the resources can support a prolonged civilization, then, at the accelerated rate of technological progress, the future possibilities are fantastic.
The public at large is
evidently not capable to resolve the issues confronting us, therefore the
only hope is a crystallization of the remaining intellect. If the necessary
organization is established, and the discipline to carry out the task is
mustered, then there is hope for the future of our civilization. It must be
kept in mind that every step in the evolutionary process begins with a single
individual, and that it is the semiconductor principle that enables the advances
to succeed.
An efficient government, based on natural laws, could be established,
from which optimal economy will follow. With scientific progress, the
living standard could be raised to an unprecedented level, and our
degeneration could be reversed painlessly. Many diseases could be
eliminated and aging retarded. Prolongation of the life-span is not a
sentimental issue, it increases the efficiency of the system by utilizing fully
the investment in learning. Conflicts could be resolved with natural
laws, and wars would be eliminated. The material affluence could foster progress in
art and science to surpass the past achievements, so that Schiller's and Beethoven's dreams,
outlined in his ninth symphony, would be realized. With the establishment of a
legal system based on natural laws, the parasites would find no means to exploit
the situation, and would become productive members of the society, thus
alleviating the wasteful social turmoil. Under a proper policy, the possible
developments in the biological cyberspace are virtually boundless, and we could
advance in our evolution painlessly. Even many calamities that were
unavoidable in the past could be prevented. For example, large meteorites,
and possibly small asteroids, could be deflected, and even English script might
become phonetic.
The warning and effective solutions have been provided, if ignored, then we deserve all the calamities that nature will employ to accomplish its goal. If we are not fit to live properly, then some other species will get a chance. The lions apparently know how to maintain a stable population, so, perhaps, they will rule again. Cats
