This report contains information on which you will possibly decide your own fate and the future of life for many generations.

The planned Yucca mountain nuclear waste storage represents an unprecedented hazard for humanity. The amount and intensity of radiation planned to be deposited inside the dormant volcano is larger than would be released in any conceivable nuclear war or critical reactor like Chernobyl. In the event that the Yucca mountain volcano becomes active again (last eruption was 80,000 years ago, which is a short time in geological terms), or is reactivated by an earthquake or a nearby meteor hit, thousands of tons of deadly radioactive material will be lifted to the stratosphere and spread all over the northern hemisphere, killing most of the population with radiation poisoning, and making the ground uninhabitable for tens of thousands of years. A million years later the radioactivity will still be noticeable.

In addition to this, even precluding the eruption possibility, once buried, the waste will be inaccessible because the heat from the radiation will melt the containers and fuse the material with the rock into a radioactive sludge whose behavior is highly unpredictable. It is quite possible that within 100,000 years the ground water may get in contact with this mass, and spread the radioactivity over a large area. There exist other hazards, too numerous to list here.

One should also keep in mind that radioactive isotopes cannot be chemically separated, and therefore the radioactivity will linger on for a million years. Thus, making it unlikely that higher life forms will survive the radiation burden. One could not design a better doomsday machine. What a human tragedy, as the individuals who disclosed this knowledge wanted to improve our existence.

All this has not been clearly explained to the public. Why? Some of the hired 'experts' know the hazards, but are making more effort to downplay them than presenting an objective assessment. For example, they have set up an elaborate research project to calculate the radiation dose after 10,000 years, and 300,000 years, in a whorehouse 12 miles away, if everything goes as planned, but they do not report what will the radiation dose be in New England, and Europe, if the volcano erupts, and what will happen to drinking water and irrigation in Texas if the ground water gets contaminated. There are debates about the transportation means, and disagreements between the geologists and the engineers regarding the implementation of the repository, but both pride themselves on working on this monumental project.

The project is monumental indeed, it exceeds the effort and cost of anything ever conceived by the human race, and may as well be the grandest disaster precipitated by our species.

So far 8 billion dollars have been spent to dig the tunnel and study the mountain. If you let them finish the project, a cost of 60 billion is projected, which, as usual, is underestimated. The quoted projected price exceeds the combined cost of the Manhattan project, the highway system, and the space projects.

In reality, this costly doomsday scenario is unnecessary. Yes, we are stuck with the radioactive waste created so far, but this should not be concentrated in one spot. It is much better to fence it off and leave it where it is, so that it remains accessible for observation and conceivable neutralization some time in the future.

Aside from the hazards involved, considering that the cost of the nuclear waste disposal is a tax burden, one wonders about the logic of not supporting instead research and development of safe power generation at lesser cost.

The people involved are determined to finish the project, and are planning to deposit 70,000 tons of high level waste beginning in 2010.  So, it is up to you to think about your own safety, and your descendants. The wealthy are perhaps counting on saving themselves by flying to the southern hemisphere, but this may also fail because, in time, some mixing of air and water will also take place. The residents in the southern hemisphere will not be killed fast, but the life span will be shortened due to radiation-induced diseases. It has already been observed that the large increase in lung cancer correlates best with the increase of radioactive fallout from bomb testing and nuclear energy generation.

NANO-MATERIAL PRODUCTION

As if the nuclear mess were not troublesome enough, the new push into the nanotechnology, if not properly supervised, will result into additional serious health hazards. Driven again merely by profit motives, the academic and industrial establishments are proceeding with the production of various materials, such as the carbon nanotubes, and the cute-sounding Bucky balls, without considering the obvious problems that these stable materials pose to life. If massively produced, these materials are bound to end up in our water and food. In addition, they are being systematically engineered as drug delivery systems. On account of their molecular size, these materials can enter cells, where they will undoubtedly interfere with the complex cellular processes. Being almost indestructible, our inherited physiology has no means to cope with such interference. As if this were not obvious to any person capable of reasoning, it has already been reported that neurons in the brains of mice are destroyed by these carbon structures. Now they want to do research for damage in other organs. Then it will be declared that damage in mice and rats does not necessarily indicate that the humans cannot benefit from these substances. Could we have this demonstrated by seeing the promoters of these enterprises themselves ingesting a dose of carbon nano-structures?

If this enterprises are not curtailed at the beginning, they will want to recover the invested capital, and will in the process downplay the hazards until an intolerable situation emerges. The cost to the public for attempting to make the water and food safe will be enormous, far exceeding the asbestos calamity.

ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION

Although some wireless communication systems are convenient, and one may be willing to accept minor hazards for such utilities, however, the current trend in wireless communication systems, if not monitored, may lead to a situation where we would be exposed to so much electromagnetic power that biological hazards will begin to be noticed. By adding more and more systems, the power and energy density will have to be progressively increased until it would be like living in a microwave oven. Again, this trend is profit driven, and unless properly controlled, will go beyond sensible limits, resulting in suffering and costly remedies. The participants in these enterprises are already denying the fact that microwaves and other EM radiation is hazardous, in spite of the fact that numerous people already developed various cancers and tumors.

I hope that this information will not be ignored, and that our technological progress will bring a better future instead of misery and possible extinction of our species. Good luck.

SIZE OF THE ELECTRON

The size of the electron has been considered an enigma in physics, and currently the physics establishment calls the electron a 'point-particle', which is of course nonsense. Within my unified theory I finally derived the actual size of the electron vortex structure, which turns out to be 1.09926  x 10-16 m. The details are outlined in my website http://www.gyrons.net .
