     Something for everyone:
     In this ambitious work, Dr. Meno presents an excellent and refreshingly objective history of physics (and much of modern science), including pictures and anecdotes of many of the great and influential thinkers. He goes on to describe his exciting ideas on the role of aether in modern physics, which have sparked renewed interest among physicists.

     To keep the title honest, he also discusses the social situation in the modern world, pointing out problems and solutions on a variety of issues from diet to currency. He even includes cartoons.

     This book even passes my test for an excellent physics text, by including vector identities, useful astronomical and physical constants, and other useful formulae in the back.

  This physics deals with mechanical flow of aether, in contrast to the bizarre theories promoted by the physics establishment. No gravitons, no empty curved spaces, no strings in eleven dimensions, no worm holes to other universes are needed to explain gravitation.  (There is no valid argument against the existence of aether. The Michelson-Morley experiments have been misinterpreted).

   This book is intended for general readership, it is extensively illustrated, and the key equations are presented, but the derivations are restrained in order not to discourage those who are not experts. 

   For the first time, gravity and associated phenomena are explained in rational comprehensible terms, mostly mechanical, so that with elementary geometry and common sense, the reader can grasp the physics of gravity, which has been called "the mysterious force."
